WHAT IS KRAV MAGA ?
Krav Maga means contact combat and is an Israeli self defence system that is renowned for its focus on real-world situations and its extreme efficiency.
It takes what is instinctive and practical from boxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, karate and other systems. Its aim is to evolve and give the best up to date solutions to diffusing confrontations and defending against assaults.

WHO IS MARCIN RESZKA ?
WHO IS MARCIN RESKA ?
Marcin has been a Krav Maga instructor for 15 years. He brings a wealth of experience from his time serving on operations with the Polish infantry mountain division and is a keen practitioner of martial arts and combat sports.
These have influenced Marcin’s view of self- defence, combat and life in general. He is active in the security industry delivering regular workshops to close protection operatives in the United Kingdom.
Over many years of training students at his gym and working with private clients he has developed his own unique approach to self-defence.
His passion is to pass on his knowledge and empower people to be able to carry themselves with confidence, avoid threatening situations and to defend themselves if needed.

CAN I DO USD AT HOME?
Yes. USD is all online so you can train anywhere in the world – home, office, gym, hotel, parks and on holiday.
CAN I STUDY ON MY OWN OR DO I NEED A PARTNER?
When it comes to the technical part of our course we understand that very often you may have to train on your own so all the techniques are shown from two perspectives, training with or without a partner.
WHAT ARE THE SELF DEFENCE LESSONS?
The self-defence lessons focus on learning the many techniques and skills required. They are broken down into easy to follow formats. There will be Practitioner, Graduate and Expert levels.
WHAT ARE THE FITNESS TRAINING LESSONS?
The fitness routines have been devised to complement the self -defence course but can be done purely for the incredible functional fitness benefits they bring for everyday life.
They focus on mobility, strength, power and specialized skills for fighting.
These are also broken down into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.

You can reach your goals at any age. Marcin has private male and female clients from 16 – 72.
Just ensure you select the workouts appropriate to your level of fitness.
WHAT IF MY FITNESS LEVEL, MOBILITY AND/OR FLEXIBILITY AREN'T GREAT?
Both areas, technical and fitness, are designed to take you from a total beginner to advanced level and improve your agility, strength, power and flexibility. We will show you mobility drills that can be used as a warm up or to cool down.
I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION / INJURED / PREGNANT / BREASTFEEDING. CAN I STILL JOIN USD?
If you’re pregnant, diabetic, have a medical condition, an injury,physical disability or any health concerns please consult your doctor or professional healthcare provider before starting your USD journey.
What do I need
I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE OF SELF DEFENCE OR MARTIAL ARTS, DOES THAT MATTER?
That is not a problem at all. Marcin has trained many novices over the years and has specifically designed the beginner part of the course with that in mind. Also, most of the techniques are based on instinctive body reactions so they aren't complicated to learn. You can study at your own pace and move onto intermediate and advanced level when you feel comfortable.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Urban Self Defence makes training easy as many of our workouts don’t require any equipment. Workouts that do require weights or other equipment can easily be substituted with household items (cans or bottles as weights).
IS THERE AN APP FOR THE PROGRAM?
Yes. Urban Self Defence is available as an iOS app that can be downloaded from the App Store, and an Android app available from the Google Play Store.
